Back Church Services
Church services are normally led by a priest or a minister. In a service, Christians will: listen to the sermon (talk), hear Bible readings, pray and sing hymns to praise God. Bigger churches will have organ music and a chancel where a choir will sing from.

A mass is held in church every Sunday. In some places this day is marked as the Sabbath or day of rest.

Church bells are rung on special occasions or to tell people to come to church, such as for:
  • a Eucharist or holy communion in which people eat bread and drink wine in memory of Jesus;
  • a wedding ceremony in which two people are married;
  • a Christingle in which children carry oranges with a candle in as an offering to the church.
