Back Rebuilding London
The King made new rules about how buildings should be built so they will not burn so easily in the future. These were written in the 1667 Rebuilding Act.

Christopher Wren planned a new city of London with wider streets and houses made of stone and brick. He also designed a new St. Paul’s Cathedral which took 35 years to build and put the motto ‘I shall rise again’ over one of the doors.
