Back Shipwrecks

A shipwreck is the remains of a ship that has sunk.

Ships get wrecked when they:
  • get too heavy;
  • are attacked by an enemy;
  • hit rocks.
People sometimes try to salvage a ship to rescue its cargo or the materials it is built with.

Over time, shipwrecks decay and become home to animals like coral and octopuses.
